Smell The Glove – The UK Tribute That Goes to Eleven – Now Booking for 2026

LONDON, UK – Britain’s most sonically reckless tribute to Spinal Tap, Smell The Glove, is officially taking bookings for the 2026 season. Fresh off a triumphant run of pub gardens, leisure centres, and one regrettable appearance at a vegan cheese festival, the band is ready to bring its high-decibel homage to venues across the UK and beyond.

Formed in a moment of spontaneous combustion and sustained by miniature bread and misplaced Stonehenge replicas, Smell The Glove channels the full absurdity, volume, and eyeliner of the legendary Tap. Expect blacker-than-black stagewear, bass solos that feature the bass, and a drummer who may or may not survive the tour.

“We’re not just a tribute band,” says lead guitarist Nigel Tuffty (no relation). “We’re a lifestyle choice. Like leather trousers in July.”

2026 Tour Highlights Include:

  • The “TAP INTO THE UK” Tour – A celebration of monochrome and minor chords
  • Stonehenge Reconstructed – Featuring a replica monument that’s almost the right size
  • The Dubly Encore – For fans who prefer their metal with a touch of studio misunderstanding

Booking Information:

Venues, festivals, and corporate functions are invited to book Smell The Glove for dates from January to December 2026. The band offers full sets, acoustic nonsense, and bespoke Tap-themed experiences including “Backstage with the Armadillos” and “Gardening Accident Memorials.”

To enquire, contact bookings@smelltheglove.co.uk or visit www.smelltheglove.co.uk. Early bookings receive complimentary backstage sandwiches (subject to bread size and folding compatibility).

About Smell The Glove

Founded in Northampton and forged in the fires of British satire, Smell The Glove is the UK’s premier tribute to Spinal Tap. With a commitment to going to eleven and a refusal to play anything in D minor, the band continues to honour the legacy of rock’s most fictional legends.
